Spicy Oats Recipe 2: (Oats Chilla)
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 15 mins
Number of Chilla – 4
Here are the ingredients for making Oats Chilla
1 cup Oats (Dry powdered in blender)
1/2 cup Suji/Semolina
1 cup Buttermilk
1 tsp Lemon juice salt to taste
2 Green Chillies finely chopped
1 tbsp Ginger paste
1 chopped Onion
1/2 chopped Capsicum
1/2 chopped small carrot
1/2 finely chopped small tomato
1 tsp ENO 1 tbsp oil for cooking
First make a thick batter of Powdered Oats, Semolina, salt and buttermilk. Once the batter is made add rest of the ingredients and at last add the Eno. Now mix it very well.
Place a pan on the oven and brush a few drops of oil in the pan(You may use ghee or butter). Then pour 1/4th of the batter and spread it with a spatula on the pan. Lower the gas, cover the pan. After 3-4 mins you can see air bubbles on the Chilla (Pancake), check if it’s coming out easily. If yes, it’s done else keep for a few more minutes and take out gently from the pan. Your healthy oats breakfast is ready to be served.
Dip optional: You might want to serve the pancakes with a dip to make it yum. I used Plain homemade Yoghurt made from full cream milk. Sprinkled salt and pepper to taste .
